Duck- Billed Platypus (Ornithorhyncus Anatinus)
The duck-billed platypus is a unique Australian animal. Platypuses, as wel as echidnas, are part of a separate group of mammals known as monotremes because of their ability to lay eggs. When the platypus was first discovered, the unusual look of the platypus caused confusion among scientist and other people and therefore was thought to be fake.
